In this three DVD home study course, Jerry Lamagna introduces you to Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), exploring the challenges and opportunities of working with clients who become flooded by their emotions. Through lecture and extensive use of annotated video footage of actual sessions, the presenter demonstrates AEDP's moment to moment tracking of felt experiences associated with the client's past, with meaningful contact with the therapist and with the felt sense of change itself. In particular, Mr. Lamagna highlights the use of intra-relational techniques and affective change processes linked to moments of recognition of, understanding towards and compassion for oneself.
