Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Social Workers, MFTs, Counselors, Substance Abuse Counselors, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, and Dentists

 

Course Objectives:

- Describe the impact of minority stress and sexual minority health risk on LGBTQ+ clients.

- Explain the functions of substance use and disordered eating for LGBTQ+ folks for coping with the impact of heterosexist society.

- Describe the issues LGBTQ+ folks face due to lack of accepting and safe space and why they utilize gyms, bars and clubs.
