Shelley Madden, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Gottman Therapist. She owns Gracelight Counseling Center and is a Grammy to 7, spreadsheet nerd, traveler, and an avid reader. She began her professional career with the Department of Defense where her noteworthy achievements culminated in multiple awards to include: a commendation for outstanding service by the Secretary of the Air Force; recognition at The Computerworld Honors Program, and receipt of her Agency's highest Civilian Leadership Award.

After 27 years with DoD, Shelley pursued her dream of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. She opened her private practice in 2011 and then pursued intensive training in couples counseling to become the first Certified Gottman Couples Therapist in Oklahoma. She conducts couples’ workshops, marathon sessions/retreats for couples and also provides Level 1 and Level 2 clinical training for Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Shelley has traveled to Seattle to assist Doctors John and Julie Gottman during their Art and Science of Love workshop.

Shelley loves to learn and holds a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems.
