Emotionally Focused Therapy 4 Day Training

Emo1onally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples is the leading form of effec1ve marital therapy treatments. Research studies find that 70-75% of couples move from marital distress to recovery and approximately 90% show significant improvements.

EFT is based on a clear, explicit aXachment conceptualiza1on of marital distress and adult love. Change strategies and interven1ons are specific and clear, and key moves and moments in the change process have been mapped into nine steps and three stages of change.

This 4-day beginning externship is designed to help therapists have an immersive didac1c and experien1al conceptualiza1on of the EFT model. There will be lecture, role plays, handouts, group interac1ons and demonstra1ons with a live couple. The externship is designed to help the par1cipant understand and be able to apply the principles of EFT in their own prac1ce of couple therapy upon completion.
