Jack Kornfield, Ph.D., was trained as a Buddhist monk in Thailand, Burma,
and India and has taught worldwide since 1974. He is one of the key teachers
to introduce Buddhist mindfulness practice to the West. He holds a Ph.D. in
clinical psychology and is co-founder of the Insight Meditation Society and
of Spirit Rock Center in Woodacre, CA. He lives in northern California with
his wife and daughter. His books include A Path with a Heart; After the
Ecstasy, the Laundry; Seeking the Heart of Wisdom (with Joseph Goldstein);
Teachings of the Buddha; Soul Food; "A Still Forest Pool; The Art of
