| Is there a fascinating professional book you’ve been hoping to read, but haven’t because there’s so much else to do?
R. Cassidy Seminars is offering a new self-teaching program, which allows you to choose from a variety of formats to help you create your own Continuing Education curriculum. This program allows you the flexibility to select from the rich repertoire of professional books, articles, audio, and video materials that fit your unique interests!

- Choose a book, journal article, audio, or video recording that relates to the MFT, Counselor, or Social Worker scope of practice.
- Fill out the Self-Designed Course Application available online at www.rcassidy.com/selfstudy.aspx.
- Await the R. Cassidy Seminars staff approval (3-5 business days).
- Read or listen to the material of your choice in a quiet and comfortable setting of your choice.
- Complete the Post-Test that consists of four brief essay questions. (You should not complete the Post-Test until after your course has been approved, completed, and paid for.) The Post-Test will also include the Verification & Evaluation Form.
- Return the completed Post-Test by fax or e-mail for electronic CEUs. California MFT’s and LCSW’s can now take all of their CEUs by electronic/digital means in contrast to traditional home study units, which are limited to 12 CEUs per renewal cycle. If you fax or e-mail us the completed Post-Test answer sheet rather than mail it, these units will qualify as electronic CEUs and will therefore allow you to take up to 36 CEUs in this manner.
Please fax your completed Post-Test to 707-566-7474. We will review your Post-Test within 48 hours.
- Receive your Certificate after successful completion of the exam. We will grade your post-test and send you a Continuing Education Certificate within 14 days of receiving it. Remember-- the date we receive your successfully completed post-test is the date we put on your certificate and the date you receive credit.

Audio/Video: 50 minutes = 1 CEU
Seminar/Conference: 60 minutes = 1 CEU
1-6 CEUs = $10/unit
7-12 CEUs = $9/unit
13-18 CEUs = $8/unit
19-36 CEUs = $7/unit

Please note: our Self-Designed Courses are approved for master’s level mental health professionals by both state and national organizations. Psychologists may only receive credit for courses in which the study material is pre-selected by the continuing education sponsor. Paragraphs should be typewritten with professional-level grammar and spelling, and consist of 2-6 complete sentences.
