Eve Ekman, Ph.D., MSW, Uvinie Lubecki, MA and Christophe Gimmler MD, LMFT


Eve Ekman is a San Francisco native who graduated from the NYU Gallatin School of Interdisciplinary Study (magna cum laude) in 2002 and received her MSW in 2006 from UC Berkeley. After working for several years as a clinical case manager and crisis counselor in the San Francisco General Hospital emergency room, she returned to Berkeley Social Welfare for a doctoral degree to learn advanced research skills to complement her experience and clinical skills for the purpose of studying empathy in a human service context and developing trainings for human service workers. She advanced to candidacy for her PhD in social welfare in May 2011 and will graduate in Spring 2014.

Uvinie Lubecki is the CEO of Leading through Connection, an organization inspired from Dalai Lama Fellows that trains leaders to deepen their capacity to relate to others at work. She spent a decade leading teams in the corporate sector, and frequently speaks at conferences on how a Connective Mindset is essential for leadership. In her spare time, she enjoys translating ancient mind-training practices into practical, modern-day tools. She holds an MPH from Harvard and a BA in neurobiology from Cornell.

Christophe Gimmler MD, LMFT is an internal medicine specialist in Palo Alto, CA and has been practicing for 22 years. He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University School Of Medicine in 1997 and specializes in internal medicine.
