WEBCAST INFORMATION

If you are attending the conference via the live webcast, please read the following instructions:

To make sure that you can properly watch this webcast, please try to watch the Greater Good video on this page.

If this video does not play at all, you probably need to install Adobe Flash Player:
http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

If you cannot hear the audio, please first make sure your speaker volume is turned up. If it is, go into the master volume options on your computer and turn up or unmute any levels that might be low or muted. If none of this works, you may not have built in speakers or your sound card may be defective or missing; regrettably, we won’t be able to help if that is the case.

If you have no problems watching the recording, your computer should be fine to run the broadcast!

Logging Into the Webcast

To log in on the day of the broadcast, you will first need to log into the Greater Good Science Center's website; the webcast will be hosted behind a password-protected page.

After you register for the webcast, you will receive an email providing the URL on which the webcast will be hosted, along with a username and password for logging in. After you have logged in on the day of the webcast, you will be able to watch live streaming video of the event, including all slides, submit questions for the presenters, and chat with other webcast attendees.

Your login will be activated on our website within 48-72 hours of your registration; if you register in the week before the event, your login will be activated by 5pm on the day before the event, March 7.

In general, to ensure best performance, please try to access the webcast from a high-speed WIRED connection to the Internet on the day of the broadcast. While many people with fast wireless connections are able to watch the broadcasts with little or no trouble, it can cause lag and delay in the video stream, resulting in jerky movements and sound.

Before the event, we will notify you of event-related materials you'll be able to download from our website. Before and after the event, we will also email you instructions on how to receive a certification of completion and CEUs (if applicable).

If you have any further questions, please send them to us at greater@berkeley.edu. If technical problems do occur, we will do our best to resolve them ASAP. If you have problems logging into the webcast on March 7 morning, please call our office at (510) 642-2490. To minimize technical problems on the day of the event, please do test your connection beforehand.
