Healing and TransformationBuddhist Wisdom & Neuroscientific Insight
The 2nd Lecture in the series
The Wise Heart & the Mindful Brain
World renowned expert in Buddhist Psychology, Jack Kornfield PhD, and Daniel J. Siegel MD, internationally recognized authority in interpersonal neurobiology, join together to share their collective wisdom in meditation practices, healing trauma, and neurobiology. Participants are invited to be a part of this exciting dialogue, pushing the boundaries of learning from revolutionary research in neurobiology and the complementary practices of psychology east and west.
Based on the groundbreaking work of Dan Siegel in developing the field of interpersonal neurobiology and Jack Kornfield’s leadership in bringing mindfulness and Buddhist psychology practices to the West, this workshop
will offer theoretical and experiencial learning, insights, tools, and practices. It is designed for professionals and meditators alike, for all those interested in the power of inner transformation, healing, and the development of our full capacities for connection, wisdom and well-being. Working with a variety of trainings in mindful awareness and the complementary trainings of lovingkindness, we will learn how a deliberate way of attending to our experience creates scientifically recognized enhancements in psychology, in our mental function, and in our interpersonal relationships. We will explore the art and science of healing, the release of trauma and the transformative potential of mindful awareness to bring extraordinary well-being and inner freedom. We will see how the latest research and deep Buddhist understanding can foster the mindful awareness of interpersonal and intrapersonal attunement, promoting
optimal well-being in relationships to others as well as to ones self. Offering a vision of education and optimal mental health, we will discover new ways to
enhance resilience, understanding, forgiveness, and compassion. This workshop will allow ample time for interaction between the presenters and dialogue with the participants. Conceptual teachings will be woven together with experiential immersion throughout.
